About the Event
We are excited to announce our first physical Guest Lecture since the start of the pandemic, taking place on the 4th of June inside the Aula at The Hague University. The Lecture will be given by Jasper van Koppen, who works at The Ministry of Defense and is the current security advisor at THUAS. Mr.van Koppen will be giving a lecture on his experience in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Mali as an army officer, and he will be sharing his experience of how good intentions do not always lead to good results. Additionally, he will be giving advice and tips for students who are interested in following similar career paths in the future.
To benefit from the privilege of hosting a physical guest lecture inside the university, we have been asked to adhere to the following coronavirus restrictions, also implemented for other recent lectures inside the Aula:
- Wearing a mask when moving inside the university and towards your seat inside the room;
- Sitting only on the chairs marked by the university staff;
- Entering the Aula individually, without crowding the entrance;
- Maintaining a 1.5-meter social distance by remaining seated until the end of the lecture.
We also kindly ask you to remain at home in case you are experiencing symptoms akin to those of the coronavirus, or if you have been in contact with a person who has been suspected of carrying the virus.
